Hi Anthony,

I'll try to run xev to view, if the frame (created by test) receives event from X server (it is "expose event" IIRC) when AWT robot moves the mouse pointer.

Hi Pavel,

We've already got a bug for that issue:

Please read the Evaluation section. You fix works just because it invokes the robot's method more than once, but that seems like a workaround.

That is still unclear why a single mouse move wouldn't do the job right. I think we should first investigate the root cause of the issue. Any ideas?

Hi,

please review patch for regression test
awt/event/HierarchyEvent/AncestorResized/AncestorResized

The test now translates mouse pointer by smaller steps (in a loop), so ANCESTOR_RESIZED event is surely generated and then received by HierarchyBoundsListener implementation.

Before this change is made, there's only one ANCESTOR_RESIZED event generated, which seems ok, but it is generated AFTER mouse button is released.

webrev for this patch is available at
http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~ptisnovs/AncestorResized/

Tested on: RHEL 5 x86_64, Gnome installed
