we changed error to warning. But with the backround that we are dont using the standard item costprice and the inventory closing feature. Info we got to the change in standard 2009 was that it's not possible because problems with inventory closing feature and costprices in previous versions.
So be aware to change! If it happens many times that you've to change the measure of an item, and you want hold the historie on one item, it's no workaround for us to rename and create a new item. (But with inventory closing feature and costprices you have to do). So we think that it should possible to change the measure of an item in standard. If many think so perhaps we got back the function in next versinons.
