Hello,

http://wiki.axiom-developer.org/SandBoxGlossary

Thanks, Ralf. I think that is very useful.

That looks like a useful page - note also you can generate that sort of thing automatically, showing eg. the page's first paragraph; here's an example: http://zopewiki.org/Glossary .

Well, at least my page started some useful discussion. ;-)

Thanks, Simon. That is seriously cool. I installed that tidy
little DTML script here:

http://wiki.axiom-developer.org/SandBoxSiteGlossary

as a test. I think the result is quite impressive for an
automatically generated glossary. :)

What do you think Ralf? Perhaps both of these should have
links from the FrontPage?

I have nothing against renaming SandBoxGlossary to [Glossary] and linking to it from the frontpage, but I think it would be a mistake to have [Site Index] and [Glossary] and [Site Map].

If you read the front page and see those three links. On which you would click?

For [Site Index] to become useful, there must be a [Conventions] site, where it is stated that a new page MUST start with a kind of "abstract" that is self-contained enough to be useful for a site-index.

However, I somehow feel that a Glossary does not need to describe ALL pages. If it were possible to specify on a page whether the first paragraph (and the page name) should go into the glossary or not, would be more appropriate, I think.

For example, I would not like to see all the IssueTracker stuff, and also the SandBox pages should not make it into the glossary.

Anyway, http://wiki.axiom-developer.org/SiteIndex makes it more easy to
go through the pages and restructure the AxiomWiki. Thank you, Simon and Bill.

So until, we have nice "first paragraphs" and a nice book structure, I am voting for SiteIndex and SiteMap. My SandBoxGlossary, will probably be removed later. I somehow like the autogenerated page more if the content on the corresponding pages is well done.

Ralf
