Yes, some are quite terrible and contribute to the rather rough

Axiom belong in the archive. The instructions for generating them -

No. The source is a Makefile that reproduces the graphs in exactly the
same way as they are now. BUT, for future versions of the Axiom Book,
the Makefile should set the option to produce higher resolution graphs.
So the actual source is MISSING or HIDDEN inside the Axiom book.
One of the outstanding problems I have to solve is how to place more
than one image on a page. That's the one blocking condition to
reproducing the Jenks book accurately.
