Grrr, I did not know I commited that change that was trying to translate i-output.boot by bootsys. The issue is that i-output.boot contains an invalid boot comment -- someone was using Lisp comment instead of boot comment, and ';' means sequencing, not comment. That but was there undetected since before build-improvements was created and nobody noticed!
