Stephen, I pushed the compiler.boot patch.
I also re-engineered the testing machinery so the unit test spad code you wrote is included in the input test file. This unit test code is now run during build time and then the regression machinery tests the result. This is general purpose and we can write spad code in input files for unit testing, somewhat like the AldorUnit idea.
