I have no idea what might be failing.
Did you set your PATH variable correctly?
cd axiom
export AXIOM=`pwd`/mnt/ubuntu
export PATH=$AXIOM/bin:$PATH
make clean
make NOISE=
(note that the `pwd` is using backquotes, not single-quotes)
If it still fails, send me the console log.
