The engine does work with inout parameters, but there is an issue with
WSDL2Ws which means that the generated stub does not get created correctly.
See AXISCPP-565 which is actually related to multi-return elements, but
those use inout parameters to achieve it.
The manual change to the generated stub is quite easy so you could do that
until the fix has been implemented.
This will get addressed in the 1.6 release.
