When I built the openssl project following the
instructions on the website, the libs where created in the directory
'out32dll', the headers went into 'inc32', so that's where they stayed :-) Don't
forget to put the path containing the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll onto your
'path' environment variable!

What is the reason for this? does the out32dll folder have to be manually
created?
Shouldn't it be the case that it is only necessary to set the OPENSSL_HOME?

I installed OpenSSL and set OPENSSL_HOME variable to the installation folder and
set the build.win32.property file settings to HTTP.SSLChanel = true.
The ant build gave the following error
