Hi Fred,
I could log in to cvs.apache.org trough
Putty by changing the SSL Protocol version from 1 to 2. But from TortoiseCVS, I
failed to checkout. I’m trying to get a new version of TortoiseCVS to
check whether it supports SSL Version 2.

Dushshantha

Subject: Fw: Downloading from CVS
Hi Apache infrastructure,
I can use putty to logon to minotaur using my user id and
password. I am using the SSH tunnel ( localhost:2401). I have my CVSROOT
setup as :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401:/home/cvs. When I use WinCVS to
checkout the latest ws-axis/c or just type "cvs -d
:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401:/home/cvs -P ws-axis/c" from the command
line, I get the following error:- "cvs (checkout aborted): Error reading
from server localhost: -1: Unknown error". For over a year and up
until yesterday, this command has never failed. Now it always failed. Has
something changed on minotaur that would cause this problem?
Regards,
Fred Preston.

I’m also experiencing the same problem. I
can check out from /home/cvspublic as an anonymous user. I informed the
situation to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] and hope they will fix it as soon as
possible.

Hi All,
Yesterday I could checkout/update/commit from/to CVS
today I can't. What's changed?
