v2.0.x apache module compilation fails

I read how to install the apache module, and naturally decided to use 2.2.x.
Everything installed fine. However after finding the apache httpd.exe memory
size was growing fast for 25 concurrent users, I decided to install an older
version of apache to make sure this was not related to some apache 2.2.x
features interfering with axis2x?
Looking on-line I remembered seeing that special configuration changes were
needed to work with 2.0.x version of apache:

However attempting this most proved impossible:
