I have been trying to install "axis-c-1.6-Win32-trace-bin" and have been
quite unsuccessful. I followed the instructions in "wininstall-guide.html".
The environment variables are set as follows:
AXISCPP_DEPLOY = C:\Apache\SimpleAxisServer\Axis
Path=%AXISCPP_DEPLOY%\lib;%Path%
AXISCPP_STARTUP_TRACE=%AXIS_HOME%\log\startTrace.log
I have manually created the "axiscpp.conf" file which is in the lib
directory along with all the other .dll files.
But when I try to run the server I get the following error message:
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I checked the starrtTrace.log file and found the following error message:
Failed to load parser
'C:\Apache\SimpleAxisServer\Axis\lib\AxisXMLParser.dll' within server
engine:
[06/09/2006 12:00:37:640 Eastern Standard Time] 1620 -

I have checked the lib directory and "AxisXMLParser.dll" is there. The
path is correct. I am stumped.
Also, I tried in vain to use the Apache2.2 server with this version of
Axis C++, and even though I followed all the installation instructions
and archived advices in the user group, the server is unable to find and
load "mod_axis2.dll". Although this has been placed in the "modules"
directory. In this case, the trace log is not even created. If I remove
this module from the "httpd.conf" file, the server runs without a problem.
I have also checked for all the necessary mfc and vc dll files, they are
all where they should be.
Could anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
