Hi gang! I have spent the last few days fighting the GZIP compression wars. At long last, the battle has been won.
I have true GZIP compression between a Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 client and the release build of Axis 1.1 Beta. Attached you will find a sample of how this all works. I am not familiar with the standard Axis build process so if someone would like to add build.xml files feel free. I think after a little review this could go into our samples package.
