I'm not sure that this is the right place to fix it. The root cause seems to be that multiple document/literal parameters fail on both the server and the client. My patch only addresses the client side. Fixing the server side is more complicated and the best fix might be in BodyBuilder which is shared by both the server and client paths. I'm still trying to understand what is going on there and would appreciate any pointers ;-)
