I have finally got the whole build system working and my patch passed all the tests - after 27 minutes :). I understand if this needs to wait till post 1.1, but whenever anyone gets a chance I have a few questions about how this should be implemented since I would like to write a test specifically for the auto-typing situation. Please excuse my ignorance in answering these questions: 1) Are there official rules that we should follow in doing auto-typing/previous examples of how this should be done? 2) What is the use-case for using the "http://xml.apache.org/axis/java"; namespace? 3) Who else is using this feature (as it is highly undocumented) and what for (ie: whats the use case)? My use case is for Ivory: http://ivory.codehaus.org - dynamically deploying SOAP services. Thanks again for always promptly helping Dims! No worries on delaying this since I have my own patched builds. I can always distribute a custom Axis jar for Ivory if there are people who want to even use it. - Dan
