Unfortunately, there's only one released version of discovery and it's not really released in the conventional sense, by which I mean that it's not available as a link on the web site -- you have to go rooting around in the released files area of the jakarta project.
That version is commons-discovery-0.1 The one in Axis' distro is more recent, as it contains several classes not found in the released version. So, I fear that Axis has a dependency on some random nightly build. -----Original Message----- From: Tom Jordahl [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, March 24, 2003 3:38 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: what version of commons-discovery is being used in the latest ver sion? I think we still use the version that was 'current' around the time of the 1.0 release. Richard Sitze from IBM did 99.9% of the discovery work as well as a good portion of the Commons Discovery implementation. He has since dropped off the face of the internet, or at least the Axis project. No one else really understands how that stuff works, unfortunately..... :-( What is the current release of Dicovery? I actually am running with the latest CVS of discovery and Axis still work fine. If there is a reasonable release number that is newer, we could update our jar file. The version of commons-discovery.jar in the latest axis drops is different from the last version available from the jakarta website for the discovery project. What version does axis currently require? Eric
