Unless I hear otherwise, I will correct all references in the documentation to use the form "Axis". Indeed I think the semantics of axis-the-word are quite descriptive/useful; in particular, I like " a main line of direction, motion, growth, or extension " from Merriam Webster's. I'm in favor of sticking with "Axis" in the documentation but fully expect that people will use both forms as suits their tastes. It has always bothered me that "GLUE" is correct even though it's not an acronym and "Axis" is correct even though it is an acronym. My vote is to make a switch and start referring to it as "AXIS". > -----Original Message----- > From: Kellogg, Richard [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, July 11, 2003 8:44 AM > To: Axis-Dev (E-mail) > Subject: Spelling of Axis > > > Hello gang! > > What is the correct spelling of Axis?
