ClassNotFoundException when using Xalan 2.7

We upgraded Xalan from 2.6 to 2.7 and Axis stopped working. For example, there
is a ClassNotFoundException when loading the WSDL for our service
(org/apache/xpath/compiler/FuncLoader is in 2.6 but not 2.7). I searched the
source but didn't see any reference to org.apache.xpath or XPathAPI (which I
think is what might be triggering this).
We should be able to upgrade Xalan without breaking Axis like this.
