I like Jaya’s attempt because the “S” and the “2” are more distinct.

 

What about if we take Vekat’s and put less slant on the “s” and making the 2 look more clearly like a 2 (different color?)?

 

Yes, I have no artistic talent to attempt this myself, but I certainly know what I like. J

First, Dims! nice work!

Next instead of going for two different logos, I thought of tweaking with both the logos to come up with a single logo. Just some MSPaint editing in some few free cycles gave me something like this. Have a look at it.

Anyway, I like the second version of the image, u've done after Venkat's
suggestion. But, as Sanjiva mentioned, its better to have something
connected with the earlier axis image too, as it has some already
established value. So can we have both ? One can pick anyone depending
on the choice.
