Hi all,

All the guys in Sri Lanka, yesterday, worked hard till 2.00 a.m. thinking to release alpha on 24th. If you all think that current axis2 is not mature enough to be released as alpha, please please let us know.
And we like to know the exact stuff we want to be finished for alpha.

My personal opinions are like this.
alpha - we are done ...
our databinding, performance improvement - post alpha, pre beta
        WSDL 2.0 - post 1.0

Like to know the status on SAAJ stuff as well. Can I assume that it is finished, even with TCK ?

What do you all think .... ????

I would say that any Axis2 1.0 would have to fully support WSDL 1.1
and WSDL 2.0 generation (from Java) and consumption (to Java). I
don’t think we are there yet, particularly on the WSDL 2.0 front.

-1 on the WSDL 2.0 front .. there's no fixed timeframe for when WSDL 2.0
is to be completed!

I would much rather release early/often with a .92, .93, .95, etc.

Again, can we identify what specific function we want to have? For those
of us working hard to get this completed, its helpful to get an actual
list of features/problems rather than open ended comments saying "not
yet."

+ 10000.

I added a wiki (http://wiki.apache.org/ws/FrontPage/Axis2/releases/alpha) asking for feature requests... If you have requests/wishs please please add them there, so that we can at least "try" to implement.
