I just had the same problem. Basically I had another version of Qname in my classpath. Specifically it was located in my weblogic.jar.
Ensure that the jaxrpc.jar is first in your classpath. Also I used the class below to search the classpath entries to find our where references were getting resolved. Hope this helps...
