I'm +1 for reusing the code though I'm not sure we can remove the o.a.axis2.util classes as users might have dependencies on them.

We are using the classes in axis2 for databinding, rahas, etc.. Any reasons for having the duplicate. IMHO we should get rid of the duplication if there aren't any pressing need..
