Hi Thilina, We've been using Axis2 1.1.1 since it was issued, and have kept current with the updates to the 1.1 branch since the 1.1.1 release. Our product is going through extensive QA testing and some production use at the moment. We're giving it a heavy workout.
The upgrade from 1.1 to 1.1.1 was seamless. We have experienced no problems at all running our application with Axis2 1.1.1 under intensive stress conditions. We use Axis2 as a Java / .Net interop solution between continuously communicating components that pass a wide variety of requests back and forth, including large quantities of content. We have measured a 10-20% performance improvement of our overall application in some environments, but we also upgraded to Java 6 at the same time as Axis2 1.1.1 so I don't have any way to attribute the gains. In any event, Axis2 1.1.1 is not slower. And of course, Axis2 1.1.1 is the first release with no external snapshot dependencies. This is most appreciated as it ensures we can continue to reliably build and support this version of our product going forward. Thanks to the whole Axis2 team for a great release! As far as I'm concerned, it's good to go. Chuck Thilina Gunarathne wrote on 12/29/2006 07:02 PM: > Hi all, > It's been almost a week since the 1.1.1-RC1 release[1]..
