Axis error when using the endpoint address with japanese characters

Hi,
I am using the java stubs generated by Axis2 for calling the web services
for sharepoint. While doing so while I used the endpoint address containing the
japanese characters it gave me the following error:

org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: First Element must contain the local name,
Envelope; nested exception is:
org.apache.axiom.soap.SOAPProcessingException: First Element must
contain the local name, Envelope
</error>
While I tried to dowload the content using a simple HTTP Get using the same
endpoint address and I was successful in doing so. Please help me to resolve
the issue.
