Thanks a lot! I was able to get my code working by changing:

                SOAPConnectionFactory connectionFactory = 
SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance();
                SOAPConnection connection = 
connectionFactory.createConnection();

to:

                SOAPConnection connection = new SOAPConnectionImpl();
