Good news! We have the beginnings of support for Flash clients directly invoking SOAP services on a JBoss server. The code has been checked into the CVS repository on Sourceforge. All that is needed is to uncomment/comment a section in two different files: install-axis.xml and axis-config.xml. Also included is an example Hello World Flash client with the .html, .swf, and .fla files. So with these, you can invoke a Hello World EJB via the Hello World SOAP service from a Flash client. I am currently working on a set of Actionscript classes to support fault handling, session tracking, and integrated security, as well as some more complex server side examples. Please note that the default value for the Service is incorrect, it must be changed to "/axis/services/Hello". The value currently in place is part of an effort to both support multiple services, ie: Flash and non-Flash simultaneously. Also note you need to copy the hello.ear into the deploy directory prior to launching JBoss.
