Not a big issue today, but if we have the details tomorrow (comments) then it will make everyone's life easier. I don't mean to be policing anything, but as a developer dedicated to cleaning up as I study the code, I'd like to know if it's worth my time exploring the issue (and it isn't if the problem was encountered with a recent JDK 1.3.1).
It's worth something to the community to have explicit comments on one-offs such as this. <ras> ******************************************* Richard A. Why is this an issue? Nothing wrong with leaving it as is, right? -- Tom Jordahl Macromedia -----Original Message----- From: Richard Sitze [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, May 14, 2002 2:56 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [AxisServlet] HttpUtils.getRequestURL() deprecated... There is a comment on AxisServlet explaining why use of the deprecated class/method continues. What is the plan to "fix" this? How long ago was the problem with the discovered, and is there a chance that it is 'fixed' in 1.3.1? Has anyone opened a defect with Sun? Whoever added the comment on this problem, would you please update the comment with enough detail to allow us to make decisions about fixing/retesting, and/or to be able to track the issue as you progress through resolution? Thanks!! <ras> ******************************************* Richard A. Sitze [EMAIL PROTECTED] CORBA Interoperability & WebServices IBM WebSphere Development
