I'd like to introduce Thomas Herbstreuth. He is a technical writer and software trainer who would like to contribute documentation suitable for Axis users who prefer to work with binaries only and who don't have aspirations to become Axis developers. He's been working on a kind of "getting started" guide for about a month and I've been reviewing the proposed table of contents. Now Thomas is trying to flesh out some of the details before posting something to axis-dev for review.
Please would you pay particular attention to problems he hits as I think once he's got a bit further, his contributions will prove to be invaluable. I'm not aware of anyone else who is involved in Axis solely to improve the documentation. Currently, Thomas is hitting a deployment problem and has posted it [1] to axis-user.
