The Axis committers had their regularly scheduled conference call (Wednesdays 11:00 AM
Eastern) today.

Items discussed:

- The 1.0 branch has been created by Sam Ruby and he almost ready to release
1.0 RC2 as soon as he resolves a failing test in the security tests and the Apache
servers are available.

- There are 8 outstanding "must-fix" 1.0 bugs, and the bugs were assigned to specific
people. Per Sam's recent release 1.0 plan, other bugs may be promoted to 1.0
"must-fix", but only by a strong consensus. 1.0 is targeted for the week of 30 Sept
2002.

- Bug ????? - soap:header is not supported in WSDL2Java was discussed as a possible
for 1.0. It was agreed that while client support (adding the header as a parameter to
the stub function call) *may* be straightforward, the runtime changes to Axis to
support server side WSDL generation and the passing of the header info to the method
is too much work for 1.0.

- Sam and Richard Sitze will be driving a release of the commons-logging project to
use in the final 1.0 build.

- Dims volunteered use of a conference bridge at any time for impromptu conference
calls (generally organized on the IRC channel). It was agreed to have another call on
20 Sept 2002 at 11:00 am EDT
