+1 for these patches, and I'd also like to get the removal of 
+SimplePrimitive/SimpleNonPrimitiveSerializerFactory that went along with the 
+TypeMappingImpl fix in there - Rich and I discussed this yesterday on IRC.  It 
+doesn't change any functionality and simplifies what is even still some pretty 
+complex code for people to understand.
