Hi Paul, A simpler solution for WSIF could be to reuse WSDL2Java under the covers only. That is, we include a org.apache.wsif.WSDL2Java thing that happens to use WSDL2Java under the covers (with all the right flags).
That's perfectly legit and will do exactly what you want. I agree long term that these changes are useful in other places too (Axis too could support dynamic proxies, for example).
