I am not a big fan of moving away from HTML. I have really good tools that I can use (<plug>Can you say Macromedia Dreamweaver MX?</plug>) to write up docs with little fuss.
Whether I use those tools as much as I should is another question. -- Tom Jordahl Macromedia Server Development -----Original Message----- From: Steve Loughran [mailto:steve_l@;iseran.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 05, 2002 4:41 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Ok... pet peeve ----- Original Message ----- From: "James M Snell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, November 05, 2002 12:37 PM Subject: RE: Ok... pet peeve > The entire structure of the documentation needs to be improved.... but, > alas... who has the time? We could think about how to improve it, then start adding new stuff in the new layout. I'd like to move from HTML to some XML representation, either DocBook or something that DVSL can process. DocBook would be nice on account of docbook2pdf functionality. But I need to find out how to work with docbook before I'd propose a move. Has anyone worked with docbook xml in an ant ant project, converting it to HTML and PDF during the build? What worked/didnt work?
