Thanks Steve. I can do all u said except commiting. I am pretty sure I got the axis source as myself and not anoncvs. anwyay I will try to get a fresh copy again and see if that was the problem

You need to check out the axis source using your log in; anything you checked out as anoncvs cannot be checked in.
