Using a client certificate

Hope this is a duplicate....not sure my message went through the first time. I have been searching the list archives and elsewhere to try to figure out how to use a client certificate when calling a web service but haven't found anything definitive.  Is there a way that I can provide some type configuration to my service Locator class that Axis will use to send a client cert when making requests to that service?  The cert I have is particular to the service so I don't really want something configured globally because other services could use different certs.  Ideally I already have a java.security.KeyStore instance (it is not in a file) that I would like to hand to Axis and then turn on client authentication somehow.  Is any of this possible and can anyone provide some pointers on how I would accomplish this?
