Notification with Axis

In the book Web Services Patterns:Java Edition written by Paul B. Monday
there are three patterns about event notification with Web services and
Apache Axis.

The one you don't want to use is the Event Monitor Pattern - but the
Observer and Publish/Subscribe pattern is what you looking for - I think.

With the book there are links to usefull source code based on Java and
Apache Axis.

I Hope this will help you.

Subject: Notify with Axis?

Hi All,

Does Axis support "Notify", that is spontaneus notifications from the
web-service side to one or more clients? My case is that I would like to
avoid the clients to frequently poll the web-service in order to have
updated clients but send a notification to several clients when data has
changed on the server side.

Regards,
Magnus
