Hi Lars,

I think your string type should be in the namespace
'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema', so it should be:

<responseMessage xsi:type="xsd:string">success</responseMessage>

Betreff: Troubles deserializing string object

Hi,

I am an axis (and soap) newbie so please excuse me, if this question is
kind of stupid.

Were using Soap-Services with the OFBiz-Framework which uses axis as
soap framework.

When the response from the service is about to be deserialized I get the
following exception:

[2005-07-27 16:11:17,896]ERROR [      DeserializationContext:511] No
deserializer for java.lang.Object
[2005-07-27 16:11:17,990]ERROR [                        Call:2404]
Exception:
org.xml.sax.SAXException: Deserializing parameter 'responseMessage':
could not find deserializer for type
{http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/}string
        at
org.apache.axis.message.RPCHandler.onStartChild(RPCHandler.java:273)
        at
org.apache.axis.encoding.DeserializationContext.startElement(DeserializationContext.java:1031)
        at
org.apache.axis.message.SAX2EventRecorder.replay(SAX2EventRecorder.java:165)
        at
org.apache.axis.message.MessageElement.publishToHandler(MessageElement.java:1140)

The response envelope looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><soapenv:Envelope
xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/";
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";>

<soapenv:Body>

<helloResponse>

<responseMessage xsi:type="soapenc:string"
xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/";>success</responseMessage>

</helloResponse>

</soapenv:Body>

</soapenv:Envelope>

I don't know what I am missing.
Can any one please give me a pointer?

Thanks,
Lars Ködderitzsch
