How about using Axis2's Primary APIs instead of generated stub code.
Please check "EchoBlockingClient" section of
http://ws.apache.org/axis2/1_0/userguide3.html .

You need to build request message for your service as OMElement,
and call ServiceClient.sendReceive().
Then you can obtain response from service as OMElement.
You can extract parameters you need by parsing returned OMElement.

But I'm not sure whether Axis2 could work with rpc/encoded web service.
