performance test

Hello,

I'd like to evaluate the performance of my web service in face of differents workloads.
I was wondering how I can do that...

As my WS runs inside Axis (that runs inside Tomcat and the last one needs Apache httpd), it ins't that simple to get informations like:

1. How much memory required only by the WS app?
2. How much CPU time is it using?


How can I get this informations?
Is there any way to have this information(putting apart axis/tomcat/apache consumption)?
