I've also never used xmlbeans outside of axis2 databinding ... but I do know that the schemaorg_apache_xmlbeans* dependancy is due to the TypeSystemHolder.class that is strangely created when also creating the *.java files when invoking wsdl2java . The whole thing never made sense to me or a lot of other people ... the question comes up frequently on the list. IIRC the TypeSystemHolder.class is indeed created outside of axis2 , as I wrote some of the first docs showing how to overcome the problem via searching on the xmlbeans list.
