Hello Manuel, I don't believe that axis2 clean-up the cache Directory by itself. The application has to clean-up the Directory manually. On [1] you can read something about mtom attachments. Inside this article is a short description about filecaching.
If axis2 can clean the cache Directory, I don't know how you can enable it. But if it is possible, I want to know, too :).
