Multi threaded web services

Hi 
     Do we need to do any thing special to make the web services multi 
threaded? or is it the Axis2 container that takes care of it? In our production 
environment we expect a huge load of concurrent users and just want to make 
sure that we do the right thing to meet the performance levels.
Any help would really be appreciated.
