I am running axis 1.4 on jboss 4.2.2. I included a servlet filter in axis'
web.xml, mapped to /*, and it is working correctly.
However,when I put a try-catch block on chain.doFilter(req, res) in my
servletfilter, it does not catch *any* exceptions (even Exception e) furtherin
the chain. (such as one thrown in my provider). If i put thetry-catch block in
the provider, it identifies the exception correctly.After examining the stack
trace, doFilter is part of it. I need thefilter to catch the exception so that
I can send a 503 ServiceUnavailable httpservletresponse error to the client.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to catch the exception at the filter level?
