Hi, I have read the migration notes for axis 1.x (http://ws.apache.org/axis2/1_4_1/migration.html) but they don't seem to apply to the way that we were previously using axis.
We don't install the web app for axis 1.x, and I doubt we would want to install the web app for axis2. Can anybody point me in the direction of migration notes for using axis2 with a standard tomcat web app, using only the jar files for axis? Currently we just install the jars to /usr/tomcat/shared/lib and then create a .wsdd in /webapps/WEB-INF, I would like to migrate with as little pain as possible really. Another question that I have is will all of our customers code keep working if we migrate to axis2? We currently only expose rpc style services and our customers have already built stubs using wsdl's built with axis 1.3 that are working in production. It wouldn't be feasible to ask every customer to rebuild their stubs just because we decided to upgrade our servers.
