Axis2 MTOM and WSSecurity (encryption)

Hello,
 
I am wondering if more users need to use mtom and ws-security. There is an 
issue (3407) since dec 2007, but is still not fixed. Isn;t it one of the 
benefits that mtom supports ws-security?
