Hi, I'm running axis 1.4.1 on tomcat 6.0.16.
The web applications suddenly crush with "Too many open files" appearing in catalina.out, after increasing the limits using ulimit and /etc/security/limits .. the amount of open files is still very large, looking forward i found that the user running tomcat has 4000 files in the temp folder of tomcat like this: ..... java 1170 desa 1959r REG 8,3 34750 9752544 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis26969447604463521701mex-1.4.1.jar java 1170 desa 1960r REG 8,3 34750 9752545 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis23583994102074499180mex-1.4.1.jar java 1170 desa 1961r REG 8,3 34750 9752546 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis21649866350671631177mex-1.4.1.jar java 1170 desa 1962r REG 8,3 34750 9752547 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis23381018883521715748mex-1.4.1.jar java 1170 desa 1963r REG 8,3 34750 9752548 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis27088432564572484123mex-1.4.1.jar java 1170 desa 1966r REG 8,3 34750 9752551 /mnt/sda3/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/temp/_axis2/axis27003534010972485106mex-1.4.1.jar .. 40% of the files are marked deleted, but still are using resources...
