I came across the same error, I 'm not 100% sure how I resolved it, but I think I simply copied all class files in the <tomact home>\axis\WEB-INF\classes folder and redeployed the service. Well give it try! Roman

I can access the server from my brower to have WSDL dump via http://....../services/CCAddressBook?wsdl When I run the client program for the test, the server responded "The AXIS engine could not find a target service to invoke! targetService is null." I tried to call the server either by "axis/services" or "axis/servlet/AxisServlet" and got the same failure.
