You will have to be a little more specific about the errors you are
receiving.  However, I can glean from your statements that you are nowhere
near being installed correctly.

1. Do you have xerces.jar?  Is it installed in your axis web-apps lib
directory?  
2. Do you have jaxrpc.jar installed in the tomcat lib directory?
3. The files that you mentioned should be located in the lib directory of
the axis distribution that you downloaded.  Look there and copy them to the
axis webapps lib directory.
4. Restart the server.
5. Try the example again.  Youmust deploy your service first, before you can
use it.  Reread Step 5 in the install guide.

Try to round up these files and put them where they belong.  If you are
still having trouble, repost much more detail about your setup, where things
are installed(directory names, etc) and the exact error messages you are
getting.
