Well, it really should be simple, but the fact is that I'm behind a firewall and I've set the proxyHost and proxyPort properties, but when JSSE tries to connect to the proxy, it raises an IOException, because it expects to receive HTTP/1.0 instead of HTTP/1.1 in the proxy reply.
There is an article about a way to overcome this problem in JavaWorld (http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip111.html?). I'd like to know if anyone has encountered this problem and if there is any other way to solve it, instead of having to write custom code (as detailed in the JavaWorld article).
