Support for object initialisation

Hello,
  I would like to know whether there is a way for initialising an object
calling some axis functionalities. What I want to do is to avoid to pass
to
my object the initialisaiton parameters it needs or toread it from
file. What I want to do is to
make the object call an axis service that tell the object its
configuration. Does anybody know whether it is possible and how?
