problems with server-config.wsdd

Hello All,

I have been searching the archived mail from this list for an answer to my problem ... and have found similar problems, but not a workable solution. My problem is with release axis 1.0 running in Tomcat 4.1.12. The problem is that I can't run EchoHeaders.jws or the sample Calculator.jws b/c the server-config.wsdd isn't created ... and if I put a skeleton there it isn't updated. I followed the install instructions and copied the axis webapps dir to Tomcat's webapps dir ... discovered that adding the xercesImpl.jar to the axis\WEB-INF\lib directory didn't do anything(the axis validation page says it's picking it up from Tomcat/endorsed/lib instead) ... then fired up Tomcat. I even uncommented the admin servlet in the web.xml to get it working ... still no server-config.xml.
Please tell me how to get this working? Thanks in advance.
